I've never had the chance to play in a live tournament of any kind ... it's an experience I'd like to experience ... feel that adrenaline ... I've seen many tournaments live on television ... and I can see what exciting that is ...! I hope some day to have that experience ...!
Played last year at the Colossus at the WSOP...the atmosphere was electric. Playing live at your local casino compared to playing at the WSOP is like going to a regular season basketball game compared to the NBA championship.
I've played in 2 WPT $10,000 buy-in events. Both of them I won my way in through satellites. The first one I had pocket aces a half a dozen times on the first level and still got knocked out on day one. My second tournament I lasted 3 days and got knocked out 20 places out of the money. Sooner or later I'm going to hit, I know it.
I played a lot of smaller ones in Paraguay. The biggest live tournament I played 2008 in Barcelona - a 2-day-qualifier for the EPT. Fist two places will get EPT main-event-tickets. I finished at position 8 and made some profit

I have played in one live tournament, I placed 2nd. Won 3750 dollars. I had a flush when we went all in. He had a set, on the river is where he paired and he took me out with a full house. It was a good night and fun and exciting.
I have played in a few WSOP Circuit events at the stop in Cherokee, which draws among the largest crowds in the country outside of the WSOP. I played in one tourney that had four starting flights and almost 3,000 total runners. I was in the top 20 after Day 1 (I even got written up in the WSOP blog!) and made it to the money on Day 2. Got crippled when my AA lost to QQ when I hit a set and he hit a straight on the river. You can't beat the thrill of playing a large multi-table tournament. A constant murmur, the steady clack of chips riffling and the occasional outburst; heaven!
I have played quite a few MTTs live with hundreds of players entering. but in terms of buyins the highest i have played at is i think worth $1k buyin that i won a seat for in those pokerstars hosted events for apt and appt. most i have played are around $500 and lower only. i mostly play online now in lesser-known sites that have crypto options. i back players btw in micros so if you are interested shoot me a dm.

I won my way into the 2013 WSOP main event at the Rio. The $10,000 buy in one. No I did not cash. I lost a huge part of my stack early with AK, paired my K on the flop, paired my A on the river. No threat from a straight or flush appeared but I got beat by a set of 7s, the only hand I did not consider. My opponent was holding pocket 7s and flopped a set. My brain fart somehow never considered that possibility. I got short stacked and ended up busting out a few hands later with AK that whiffed and got beat by a pair of jacks. The $10,000 win put me in a higher tax bracket and I then had to stick $6,000 into an IRA to lower my taxes....lol.
I satellited into the 2006 WSOP Main Event for $2! I played on Day 1A, but didn't make it to Day 2, which was about 3 - 4 days later. I decided to go all-in short-stacked with AK suited after having played for over 12 hours. Ran into QQ. Oh well. It was an amazing experience that I'll probably never get to take part in again.
I have played in some WSOP events. Honestly, for me the experience isn't that much different once you get settled in. My main concern is on staying focused and playing well, but it's such a long grind, that it's a struggle to even do that. Sure, a poker celebrity might be seated across from you, but when you're contesting a pot with them, they're just like any other player.
