Eating at table.

most card rooms are stopping eating at the tables. Not only is it not good for you with all the bacteria. grease gets on your fingers and then on the chips and cards. I prefer to eat before or on break.

I always felt uncomfortable eating well trying to play at live table I don't play Live much anymore so I don't know if they change those rules. Especially when there was a full table and people would have food pushed to the side and still try to play it was quite a mess LOL

Not in favor of stopping completely, but part of it. Limit the menu of what you can get at a table.. mostly if alcohol is also served.

Here they couldn't stop this because the licence allowing to serve alcohol at tables requires that food can be served too.. but some places limited the menu and eliminated big phat greasy stuff and those having a chance to damage the tables. Forcing them to lower the phat grease in many of their sidedishes and offer more healty choices!

Yeah I'm in favour of this - people get the cards and chips dirty as well as spilling stuff. Makes the game less pleasant for everybody - breaks exist for a reason and if you can't wait then leave the table, no casino I've ever been to doesn't let you leave the table for a couple of minutes to eat. casinos should also ban sick players - the first few live tournaments I went to gave me quite a cold for a few days!

By and large, that the general can be between poker and food? Certainly, consumers. Whatever one may do, any person cannot live in the world food however that there was significant term. I remember an old wsop episode Barry Greenstein said something like " I never order food at the table unless I am the chipleader." then Barry and the others that were left at the table, ate the fries of the guy who busted and left lol

I totally agree with them.
People eating at the tables is annoying on so many levels.
You have less space, everything gets dirty and the people eating aren't paying attention anymore.

That would be terrible if most card rooms stop serving food at the tables. I'm sure this won't be happening because the casino wants you at the table as long as possible. For example, most cardrooms have installed phone chargers at the table.

I think this could be a good thing for people to take a break from the game to eat something away from the table. I like the fact that they don't want grease on the cards and chips. It makes sense to me.

If I eat at table I just eat potato chips or something. I don't eat a meal. But I have seen people eat meals.

Eating is Kind of a No-Go.
Especially when some People like they would be the only one at the table.

I cant even stand those situations in Restaurants and bars.

Most of the time there is a break in the game, where the Players can leave the table and eat or do the opposite.

I agree with you. Is really disgusting eat at the table. I prefer on the break.

I get hungry after playing an all day session. I eat with a fork and knife and clean up after myself with napkins etc.

I don't eat with my hands and plus that is gross because you are touching chips, cards etc. that haven't been cleaned in who knows when!

I agree with the majority here where eating at a table is not right and that's what meal tickets are for...you have your 45 minutes to eat something decent then come back to play. Personally, I sometimes balance my intake with a Red Bull in one hand and a (Canadian) Caesar in the other...my veggies and proteins with some good vodka along with caffeine (and other chemicals to keep the alcohol at bay) on the other.

if I play live, I like to eat before or after but never during play. I have done it while playing, I prefer not to specially while in tournaments. when I do it is mostly in cash games.

I've only eaten while playing once and that was because it was deep in a tourny and I had been hungry for several hours and could not concentrate properly on the game. I personally think eating at the tables should be banned. All it does is slow down the game for everyone else. And make everyone else hungry.

I think going back one step while eating a banana or protein bar or whatever small should be fine. But greacy, messy things or things you eat of a plate should not be legal. IMO
