I'm certainly more comfortable live at the table. Online I feel like I make less smart decisions and I win more money live.
As with most things, it depends.
For me, I have access to far better information at my fingertips online, than when I was playing live. Certainly if at a casino.
I did however play in a monthly poker club downtown and over time, I accumulated a lot of info on style and situational poker, as well as the odd tell.
For my home games, playing with same folks for years, you get quite used to how people play...especially when it gets late.
But all in all, I knew far leass about poker when I played live, because I hadn't studied like I do now, and you play so few
hands. Online poker gives you amazing feedback very quickly on how your adjustments are working. In a live setting, it can take forever to determine whether your success is just a result of variance, or whether it is because it is a solid strat.
