I feel that should not be there. There can really be a loud pain in the but and can only be described as distracting.

I think they are usually bitter and talking trash. Or they could be your buddy wishing you well.

Do not think it should impact your play either way.

LOL! My rail at a live poker table at my local casino is my wife, who BTW is giving me the stink eye cause I've either been their too long or lost too much money. No cheering from my rail!

It can be distracting for sure, but tbh it's just a part of live poker and it gives it another "charm".

People on the rail should be far enough back not effect the play. You can still turn and say hi but there needs to be space. In Vegas or SA people could not get closer than 15ft to the players. As far as noise, get used to it.
