There was a tournament called the PokerNews Cup playing at the Aria Resort and Casino this past week.

It got to Heads-up and the 2 players went away from the table to discuss a possible deal. There were a few of the railbirds trying to influence the players' decisions and at that point, Jesse Sylvia stepped in to ask them to be quiet (with stronger words, though) and told the rail the 2 players will make their own decision whether or not they want to chop or not.

This made me wonder, should the rail be quiet and cheer on the 2 men without interfering with deal-making? or does it matter if the rail supports the players in any way they feel they can including deal-making?

What do you think?

Logically I would think that railbirds should support the players but the deal-making discussion should likely be between the two players in question unless it is allowed to have one or 2 people assist one of the players. Would poker rooms or poker tournaments have something included in their Tournament Rules?

You buy in to the tourney, you control the chips & how they are played. You make it to a position where deal making is under discussion only the players remaining have a say in the deal making, subject to any tournament rules of course. Why in hell would spectators think it was any of their business?
