When should I start playing real money and not only freerolls?

As many of the previous posters have stated, bankroll management is a top key success factor, a skill I'm still trying to master.

I have my own rules about how to go about bankroll management. I've read somewhere to only play with at most 15% of a bankroll at any one time, and to have at least 100BB to start any one game.

Hi Poker-world !

I would recommend building a decent bankroll (100-200 ) and then start playing some SnG or HU poker so you can improve your skill without risking too loose you grinned Bankroll.

But that also depends is you are willing to risk it and if case of bust can deposit own money.

I built my bankroll up to $5 from freerolls before I started the 1c/2c cash games. I also play some 10c tourneys. I continue to play freerolls to help offset some of my loses when I have them.

You probably want to start playing your dollars when your comfortable knowing that even though your going to lose some.

Play in multi table tournaments, its the closest to more of a skill game.

definetly keep playing in the freerolls that offer good value and if you would like to test the real buy in streets, try it at a 10 cent sng or mtt.

Play all of your $0.10 tickets, there is only one tourney offered on stars for $0.10. If you win a few dollars there then just keep playing then until you feel comfortable playing $0.25 45 man or 90 man tourneys, maybe if you hit $25 mark

When your game is not for luck, but for the result - you can safely start playing for money.
