One of my leaks is overplaying KK, lost my buy-in last night doing this.
Fish overplayed A/Jo and hit an ace
Did the same thing tonight with KK and got most of it back on another fishy table of loose players.

I suppose variance can fix bad plays...

One of my huge leaks is over playing mid pocket pairs in tournaments where I am midstacked. Often I end up going all-in because for some stupid reason after 2 hours of grinding out my stack I feel I need to make a move to catch up to the big boys and think a coin flip aint that bad....but more often than not I run up against a bigger pocket pair and my tournament life is either over or on serious life support. It just happens so so often.

Yep this is a good one I think we are all guilty of.

You have to be patient and not force things, play your stack divided by the blinds and get busy when the ratio is below ten otherwise you will risk being blinded off.

You need to start going all-in with a ratio below ten, but avoid the huge and micro stacks and try challenging the tight opponents who appear to be risk averse struggling to hang in and not bust out of the tournament.:jd4:

A bit off-topic but I think that this ^ is actually waiting too long to get it in.
If I have 15-24bb's and an aggressive player in LP puts in a raise I'm shoving my mid pp. all day long (I'm more than happy to take a flip to put my stack back up to 30+bb's).

Playing too many tables.

Tilt in all its forms. Winning tilt. Losing tilt. Being played back at to often in a short amount of time.

I don't give loose players credit for possibly having the best hand. I make them pay to see cards-I don't like to give a free turn or river card and sometimes it bites me in the ass. I tend to bet into them and it hurts me too often.

I would have to say my biggest leak is believing that TPTK is still good even in the face of a dangerous board such as potential flushes or straights. It's tough to lay the hand down, especially in spots where you know your opponent is a loose player. I have learned to pick my spots when I have TPTK, but my read is not always going to be right. It's a tough lesson to learn, but a necessary one.

tried the old gus hansen in this hand a caught a guy who couldn't fold 2 pair, he didn't understand my intention originally was to take the blinds on a table where everyone continually folded and were waiting for big cards.
Fortunately he hooked the queen on the turn.

Should put this HH in the 'Doyle Brunson' thread. I actually just started saving my Doyle Brunson specials in a folder (especially while playing on DoylesRoom where I've made a committment to playing every T-2 I'm dealt & doing what I can to win the hand, lol). We could probably start up a fairly funny thread.

mine is when i get chiped up and start getting bored. seems it causes me to start chasing cause i think i can afford it.next to that i'd have to say it's not knowing when i've pushed my luck to far.or knowing when to sit out awhile.

Yep PO could leak like a horse back then after a night on the grog.
Now it can be more like a buggered tap washer.

Just lost two days profit in one hand. The leak being that I failed to recognize that two passive players had become aggressive, there was also there were one TAG and one semi-loose aggressive player on the table, and I neglected to switch tables.

Any table I'm on I want to be the dominant player and any aggressive player(s) to my right and betting in to me.

One of the players on my left adopted an aggressive style for at least one circuit and I had not noted it.

The oversight cost me my stack trying to psych him out.:(

tells me to stay alert to player and table style changes.

Yep good point, my biggest leak is calling 3bets and 4bets with hands like big slick or middle pairs.

Looking players up because you disbelieve can be extremely costly.

If I eliminated that one play my game would go to the next level:)
