Been watching some tips from pros, put them to use in the play money tourneys. people play very loose and dumb in play money tourneys, which is actually not good as you pick up bad habits, you want to profit take even play money serious its also good way to learn.
so far 3 tournaments and 2 places. not bad for beginner.

I studied teaching materials for a very long time and a lot before starting to play and then I started playing freerolls and I started to play and get small results, now I'm happy that I can play and sometimes I win, when I have a lot of free time then I I play long tournaments and I spend more time for cash games and play for money!

best tactic and the thing all pros seems to say is play your position well. seems to work well online also. yes tournamnets are time consuming for sure.

Freerolls and micro tournaments its the same. People go mad, freerolls they dont spend any money, and micros the spend what they gain at the freerolls, so they dont care.

Yes but they are much more serious than play money. Still not nearly enough serious.

In my opinion I think that you are wrong to generalize with respect to fictional money games, I have played some fictitious money tournaments and regular games and even sits & go and many times I have met with very good players there, who do not leave so easily . It is true that there are many players who only do it to pass the time, but I told you that playing with real money ufff! I've met countless times with donkey players, the truth is I can not explain why those stupid plays they do.
an advice.
when you play poker with either real or fictional money play your game without looking if the opponent is a donkey or not

its good for learning and when you play monopoly money, people are more loose and play stupid hands this is good for learning cause in real money games you meet the same people who might aswell be in a play game, if that makes sense.
gives you a feel for fish and loose.
i take it serious cause i dont like forming bad habits.

Playing for play money to me is like kissing your sister. Might be good practice, but is quite lacking in excitement.
