Overall I am a losing player. I have found that just playing for fun and recreational is the way for me. Thus for small amounts or just good freerolls. Since then I have managed to slowly but steadily make up for my loses, but am not still there. With some time just playing recreationally I may recover but I hold no illusions of making poker profitable for me. It is just a pass time hobby and that works the best for me.

Majority of poker players are losing ones. That is how the poker economy works. Good luck out there

Before I became a member of the CardsChat community, I lost my bankroll several times. In total, I lost about $ 50-70. Now, for the last six months, I have been playing freerolls, and my bankroll is steadily increasing.

To be honest, I won more in the beginning, when I started to play poker than nowdays. I don't know what is the reason, but at the moment I am really struggling to get back on the winning road. Maybe the reason can be that when I started to play poker, I played a lot of freerolls and I was feeling more comfortable there than now when I am playing more tournaments with real money.:)
If you feel more confortable with freerolls why to play real money, after all its about happiness. I think you should stop and go back to freerolls

Actually nothing!

By realizing I was a lot worse than seasoned players, I decided to study hard first. Harrington's book really helped me grasp the concepts of hold 'em. Playing fairly tight worked great online where most tables seemed relatively loose. Started with freerolls then built a decent bankroll from that. Slow and steady wins the race!

from my first days I was a winning player on micro stakes. I had always good bankroll managament and when I found poker online I've studied a lot. It was a natural process for me. I knew that If I don't want to lose my money quick I have to learn a lot. so ye. I exactly remember that after my first few weeks I was already able to win at nl2 with decent winrate. But it was 2008 year so it was much easier to crush weaker players.

I think it is worth revising the strategy of your game, to understand what the problem is, read and watch learning videos about poker, there is a lot of useful information that will help you

I lost what I won. At first I played without a worry in the head and won $40,000 cash playing live over a course of 1 year when I was 18. Waste it learning more and living of it for 2 years. Then I had to get a job because I had a son and had to grow up. I will have to say I'm in the green since but will definitely love to do it 24/7 as a profession sometime soon when the time is right.

Nothing

Started at a early age under ten so for me it cost me nothing but time and fun. I have done this with my four children and they are very good now. This was time well spent with family. Capo1014

I deposited $200 in POKER KING for FDB (first deposit bonus).
Currently playing blitz poker NL10, after four days I have lost 10 buy-ins, LOL.
It's time to lower the level.
good luck to me.

hi

I'm still learning it, but I can't say that I lost a lot of money, even though I bought HM3, gave money to a teacher and played in 3 halls

I have never been in the red in poker, or at least not for any sort of signicant amount. I started with play money games, and when I began playing for real money, it was 2NL cash games, and my curve never dipped significantly below zero. Maybe I have been down 5-10$ at the most. Since then there has obviously been many downswings, but they have never brought my lifetime winnings below zero.

i wanna ask you guys ,how much did you loose in poker before you started to win . or did you break even , or still loosing .
your experience is appreciated

when i just got into poker my biggest mistake was thinking i could win big immediately, i soon learned that's not the case, there were times i even thought players knew what cards i had, but as time passed as i lost thousands i realized poker is a more sophisticated game that require skill and strategy, by then i had already lost at least $5,000.00 dollars, now i only play free rolls and some major events in scoop, wcoop, or staddium series, only to increase my knowledge, and the results a good, ever time i get closer and closer in major events final table and have won a few freerolls already, practice makes perfect, good luck guys, hope this helps

Wow that's a lot of money :( although it's good that you cut your loses. I agree with you that poker needs to be approached gradually and step by step.
