I would start with one or at most two, and work your way up to four at most. Some play more but I don't recommend it.

One table of course. As the beginner you most likely don't know how to play and what to do in different situations, so playing a lot of tables will only get you to losing your money faster. You have to concentrate, pay attention and learn. Once you become more confident and know what to do in most spots, you can add another table.

In my opinion, it is enough to start playing only on one table. Once you start earning money from the game, you can increase the number of tables by one more. It is very important not to lose co-centration.
Good luck.

You need to play as many tables as comfortable for you personally.

For beginners what would be a safe poker? Trying to say how many tables would be a safe start playing with????
If you are a beginner I recommend only 2 so as not to get in the way.

Start with a table, then two tables, then three tables, so on.

Cash games I stick to 4 tables. Tournaments I recommend not playing more than 3.

I do not recommend playing cash and tournaments at the same time.

As a complete beginner i would start with one table for sure. I would concentrate on action as much as i can and do my best to win as much as possible there. But i'm sure, that you have to aim yourself play more tables with the time. As it increase your hands/hour and eventual income too. But you should feel comfortable with amount of tables you play. The thing is, the professionals mostly playing many tables at once, because they have played (and analyzed) already so many hands and situations, so they play them automatically. It's similar like the martial arts, you know. If you practice it long enough, your body does it automatically, when need. Same with the brain. If you played some poker situation already hundreds of time and analyzed it with poker calcs. You don't need to take your time to think about the right play. You know it already. That's a trick. More experience you have, faster you can find the right decision. Only then you can add one more table, then another one. But don't try to do that from the beginning on. If you are novice in poker, you will have just lack of concentration and as result minus results at the end of the month. Take it slow, but aware.

Agreed one table at a time is the best option for new players! As you go along and gain more experience then you can increase but remember to take it slow and work progressively where you'll be cashing in most of the tables/tournaments you enter.

you should start with one table.. As you start to win with one table, you can play with more.

I think that you have start with 1 table, after that you can play one more table at same time if you can play 2 tables and play good, you can play one more and until you understand that is enough.
At the begining I think that 1 table is a best option.

If you are really just starting out and trying to multitable, selecting 9 or 10 person tables make more sense.

If you are playing a 6 person table or heads up, your turn to act will come up way more frequently.

One! You shouldn’t multi table until you have a good short game. Huds can help the transition from single to multi table but as a beginner it’s best to put all your concentration in one place. Learn how to read ranges bet sizing etc to have a successful game before jumping into a situation where you can lose a lot of money at once

You must try it out first and see what is working for you. For me work 4 tables of cash and 6 of tournaments.

Playing only at a table gives you requirements for analyzing your opponents, while playing at multiple tables makes you play mechanically, giving little time for game analysis, which induces you to play only the hands that offer you security! GL

I am new to poker and therefore it is difficult for me to concentrate even on only two tables. But it's only a matter of time.

For those who are starting the ideal is to play a few tables.
Over time you can add new tables.
