The idea is that the more time you spend playing poker, the more you will improve your ability to make the right decisions, to master your desire to win and to earn serious profits. But I think the breaks between games are also important, they are the ones that help you review certain mistakes in the future, to rest your body and mind, to give you time analyzing different hasty behaviors during the game.
As a general average reported at one month, my time playing poker is around 4-6 hours a day, but sometimes it can be zero hours some days or 10-12 hours some other ones, depending of course on my time and vibe's.
