If you have won a strong freeroll tournament, do you think this is a reason to think you may have the qualities of a good player? Or is it a matter of luck? How do you know when you became a good player?

Perhaps the title is for a change, but I don't know how to change it!
Can the moderator change it to: How do you know when you became a good player?
I apologize and thank you in advance!

winnning a freeroll probably means you have a good skill set to beat it playing abc poker, unless you just sun runned the crap out of it.

It's a good question. Sometimes I think I'm good other times I suck! :) I have won a few freerolls so maybe I'm ok :)

You are a good poker player at your level if you can make a profit in the long run. Just one tournament doesn't say that much.

Just check your hand history. It will tell you everything. Also, helps to improve the game.

Poker is a game of information. To find out that a person plays well in poker, that is, in plus - you must use the statistics of programs (for example, Pokertracker 4 or HoldemManager 2).

In fact, the quality of your game should be reflected on your credit card account or in the office of neteller or skrill.
A good player takes out more money than he spends on the game. Note - displays, and not just counts the amount of bankroll in the poker room. ;)

You can only know you are a good player if in the long run, regardless of winning or losing, you are consistently making good decisions. Think of it like this: Most car drivers think of themselves as above average.

All that matters is your self-awareness. You must feel stronger than you were yesterday and only then you will know how successful a player is.

I think when you're winning/profiting consistently over a large sample size in whatever you're playing (SNGs, MTTs, Cash) is a good indication that you're a good player at that level, but not at all levels.

A player crushing $1 MTTs might not fair as well in $10 MTTs.

I think the answer is pretty easy. Go to shark scope and look at your stats. It's a math based game and the numbers don't lie. After a few thousand games, what is your ROI (return on investment)?

If you win one tournament, it's just luck! But if the winnings have become an integral part of your life, then it is professionalism!

I understand your desire to ascribe yourself to good players, but bad players also win tournaments with big prizes. The quality of your game is the percentage of an error-free game

It's not just about getting the top spot in a tournament. Skill and performance is what the player is assessed. Achieving profitability on a daily basis should be enough to determine that you have wood for this.

You can discuss your hand history with some more experienced players and they will give you opinion if you are or you are not "good player". In my opinion, generally you are good player if you are consistent winner in long run on your limits.
