If a tilt occurs, immediately pause. If it's needed sometime and a long break when you rest and calm down. Then continue with the game. It's my sincere recommendation and it's good for me. It's important that we do not go deeper into the tilt but when it starts, then we have to stop the game.

Yes, tilt happens at times. I just say to myself: Taras, you were born a loser and you die a loser. Relax and do not worry.)))

Not anymore. When I started playing it did happen but now I just close the program and go do something else. As long as I know I played it right I am fine with it.

My opinion

You go on tilt when the win isn't really worth the stress. May people play for two hundred dollars. Hell why you playing so hard for that. after banking fees you get a hundred and its spent in a night. The MOSS, OSS and BOSS on ACR should be a good time to hold back from tilt. You do tilt when the probability of your cards are going to hit. You have to figure you just won as a standard deviation error. Usually you get the hole cards again at a better time.

the most useful thing when tilting is to pause the game and take time to parse the hands played

If playing online, sometimes you can scream and yell all you want as opposed to playing live where if you come unglued, you turn into Phil Helmuth. I react the same way however in both situations which is to take a deep breath, remind yourself that you made the best decision regardless and move on to a fresh new hand :) It is quite funny how you can tell yourself "I can control my tilt, no problem", but then when the most ridiculous beat comes..you can still feel your blood boil! :)

Quit for the day or at least pause until you feel back to normal again.

Table will still be there tomorrow.

with me it happens regularly and there's nothing I can do about it. I'm trying to tell myself that I sat at the table in order to earn, not to spend money.

Leave! Leave your computer, leave your house, leave the town, whatever you can do to get away when your tilting is best.

DON'T GO ON TILT!!!! Don't let things bother you. With a chip and a chair your still in it!!! Just remember, it's only life.....it will be over someday. If someone is trash talking it's their own insecurity! If you take a bad beat......WELCOME TO POKER!!!!! If you go card dead for a stretch......WELCOME TO POKER!!!!! It's the bad days that make the good ones that better, take it from someone that knows!!!!!:D:D

Yesterday was playing heads up vs a dude then blinds go up and both were at around ten big blinds. The game was at state he push I fold I push he folds. We were trapping. Got a pair of jacks a monster in this situation. He tanks little more than usual and pushed I called he was bluffing shove with 23 hearts. The flop was with two hearts and I knew what was coming. Turn another heart and lost the heads up match. However things like that are just a part of the game. If you are better player you will take more bad beats simply because most time you put your money as favourite. One thing to lower tilt is bankroll management. If this hand happened on a 100$ game I would had tilted. On a 1,5$ game when I had 100$ roll just fired another game and took it. Good luck

You have to rationalize your fears and anger. Use the logic to realize that thanks to the variance there is professional poker. AA vs. 22, it's an 80-20 in your favor. When 20% of the villain passes, it should not bother you, they're just maths.

Tilt is easier to prevent it than to fight it when it happens.

To prevent it, you have to keep in mind that only bad players tilt cause they dont think poker in long terms. Why is that? Cause when you shove aces on 29K flop and your opponent calls with a 9 to give you a bad beat with 2 pair on the river most newbies players will tilt. Cause they see the tree and not the forest. When you start seeing the long picture, you should be happy instead of tilted. Cause if you played it right, donks shouldnt matter you at all, cause in the end you will be in profit. Thats the mindset to prevent it.

If you dont prevent it, just quit for a day and clear your head. Ask yourself. Did I play it right? If you did, get back in and never play with a mindset to chase losses or played scared of getting coolered.

Physically I take a few deep breaths, shake my body and look at my surroundings, which according to people who are smarter than I am will stimulate desensitization. Then I move on and continue playing, reminding myself that I can get something positive out of this experience by analyzing what I did wrong.

That is definitely one way to do it. I usually meditate with different relaxing tones and sounds I find online. Definitely helps.
