Wow that hurt me too. That's why there's the saying, don't put in more than you can (afford) to lose. Yes, it was a mess.
If I had folded here (KK's) I should have posted in this thread…

I can afford this call. This bank is fat.

How could I escape this hand? Sometimes it haunts me, I even managed to see it seven times in 10 minutes, and play it again tomorrow? Should I quit like a good boy?🤔

I don't think the fold was necessarily bad, but I think that a call would be reasonable too. If you have AA overcards on the turn with a 4flush on the board that you don't connect with, folding to a big bet is the right thing to do. I haven't read this whole thread, so I'm guessing someone else has already made this point, but on that board there are lots of bluffs or semi bluffs in the villian's range. KK, Q-x, A-x clubs, 9-10 clubs, maybe even 5-6 clubs... hands where you're ahead or basically a flip. Even some outright bluffs. Given this, there are only 3 hands that have you dominated - QQ, 77, and 88 (maybe 78 suited), and there are only 9 possible versions of those hands (add 2 more for the 78 suited). Does your opponent have more than 9 (or 11) combinations of hands you beat or flip against? Without knowing anything about them or the field, I'd say most players in this situation do. (6 KKs, maybe a dozen Qx broadway combos, 10 Ax clubs, and a smattering of JJ or 10-10 getting out of line, or thinking you'll overfold to a shove).
