Reading books is one of the best things we can do and enjoy.

But when it comes to learning to play poker, books are not a good idea to learn this game. The information they offer is very partial or outdated, and, most of the authors are not currently winning players, it is not surprising that when a poker player cannot generate enough income at the tables he begins to “teach poker”.

Currently, the best way to learn to play poker is to "observe TOP players", that is, observe the game of winning players, in this way we can learn their lines of thought and imitate their game.

¿Where can that be done? On the internet there are countless videos to learn, we can find many players who make Bankroll Challenges.

So, ¿what are poker books for? They currently serve as a general culture.

Small Ball: Poker Holdem Strategy by Daniel Negreanu. I read it years ago, and just found it for free on Google Play Books.

Books are mainly entertainment and help keep you focused.

The real poker is learned through handhistory reviews, study groups and actually being on the table.

Fully break down 1 hand a day, run it in Equilab or Flopzilla and ideally cardrunners EV. See in detail what is going on. If you do enough of these, you will see commonly occurring situations and develop your own general rules that beat the field.
