I'd say 3 things: overplaying weak hands, ignoring position and table dynamics, letting emotions dictate their decisions

One of the mistakes I think I used to make is not playing lower pairs, when they can do quite well

Limp too much and call any raise with suited cards.

A lot of beginner poker players get very emotional when playing hands. This is the poker equivalent of the ultimate show of weakness
and other players will undoubtedly take advantage of this person. A hand is lost if it is misplaced. You do not need to be upset or angry.
You must entirely disconnect yourself from your emotions.
