Hi poker buddies!
Let's talk about the art of bluffing – it's like a superpower at the poker table! I was wondering if you would share some of your insights into bluffing like bluffing techniques and when to use them, like pretending you have a strong hand or making a strategic bet on a scary board or some things to consider when attempting a successful bluff?

Hello ednaroza, how are you doing?
Yes, bluffing definitely can be considered an art, but there are some principles that must be followed for an effective bluff.

First, your opponents will often tell you when they are weak. If they are just 3-betting, betting and raising, the chances of being a bluff are low.
But if they check, or if they their bet sizes are not consistent, it might be a good spot.

Second, you should bluff with hands that have no showdown value (like a T9, for example), hands that you certainly can't win on showdown.

Third, one of the most important: consistency. When bluffing, you are trying to represent a great hand you are supposed to have. Let's say you are trying to represent a straight made on the river. A good player will always think, "Would he/she have played the draw like this on the flop and turn?"
If you are not consistent, the chances of you being caught are quite high.

And last but no least, choose carefully the opponent to bluff. If you use a HUD, certainly there are some stats that can help you, like WTSD (went to showdown). Bluffing against an opponent who calls to much is usually not a good idea.

You can see these principles masterfully explained by Collin Moshman and Katie Dozier in the Day 11 of Cardschat course Becoming a winning poker player in 30 days.

Bluffing is a technique used by very experienced players, as the tactic consists of observing the behavior of the players around, predicting their actions and making a decision.
To learn how to bluff you have to bluff, that is to say, you have to practice bluffing, there is no way to learn any specific bluffing rule in books, you will have to bluff to learn your way of bluffing.

to be able to bluff correctly, you need to choose the right moment to bluff and choose an opponent to bluff, because if he has a strong hand, he won't lose his hand, so you need to know the range of hands we play poker against and if you know this, it will be easier for you to bluff against players

I can't bluff I am sure there is technique and experience on that. You can't bluff all the time for example and to all players. Probably the most delicate skill on poker
