Can you live by poker?

If a quality level is reached from the player and if he plays with a system, yes poker can be played for living. And of course patient!

Yes it can, but the game is not easy to make a living from. I have experienced solid returns from MTT's but not enough to make a living from it. The money was never reliable either. But yes it is possible and people do it. Many people dream of that run where they satellite into a big MTT and make the final table. It seems to happen every year at the Aussie Millions. I knew a lady who came 4th in the main event from a $150 satellite and won $100k. She is an older lady who mostly played pub poker, which is where I knew her from, but she was a strong player and used to win those games a lot. There are a few guys who make their living playing live poker at Sydney casino.

Yes it is possible, but do you have the drive to be the top 10%?

You need to take poker seriously and work hard on your game. Then everything is possible. But this is not the easiest money.

I have a part time job. But until I win thousands and thousands of dollars, i'm not qutting my job.

It's really hard to live from poker, at least online poker which seems to be harder, I have tried 6 months ago and was very difficult for me, and now I have a full time job, but I still play poker, but more like hobby. You have to try and if this works for you, u don't have to wake at 8 am to take a buss to go to work, just relax and play from home. good luck

Know that I have often thought of this possibility: to live in poker. It's hard but not impossible. My poker idol is Daniel Negreanu, and he started playing poker with only $ 2000 in his pocket, and now he's a millionaire. I hope one day I will come to him.
