Now Tieman is trailing as the turn and river come 6and 7, offering no help and doubling up Phan. Phan now sits with $7,000, while Tieman is down to $17,000.

Schneller shows A7, for a pair of sevens, while Rousso only has A8, for a missed flush draw. Rousso says, "Nice call" as her chip count drops to $8,500. Schneller's already massive stack grows to $47,500 after the hand.

Wed Jul 19 23:10:00 PDT 2006

On a flop of 10 95, with around $3,500 in the pot, John Gale checks and Alex Jacob bets out $2,500. Gale raises $6,000 more, causing Jacob to fold. Gale now sits with $25,500, while Jacob is down to $19,900.

Wed Jul 19 23:19:00 PDT 2006
John Turner Eliminates Opponent, Pulls into Chiplead
On a flop of J 95, with $5,000 already in the pot, John Turner makes it $2,500 to go. His opponent raises to $7,500 total and Turner calls. The turn brings the K, and Turner's opponent pushes all-in for his remaining $13,800. Turner stands up and thinks aloud, not sure whether he should call. He finally calls, not fully convinced it was the right move, and his opponent shows AQfor Ace-high with a gut-shot straight draw. Turner is relieved as he shows pocket 5's for a flopped set. The river brings the meaningless 3and Turner eliminates his opponent. Turner is now in the chip lead for the tournament with $52,500 in his stack.

Wed Jul 19 23:32:00 PDT 2006
Poker Camaraderie At Its Finest
Layne Flack and Freddy Deeb both call a player's pre-flop all-in. Layne and Freddy both have only about $2,500 each behind themselves. With a flop of 9 2 5 , Freddy Deeb pushes all-in. Layne Flack folds and shows A 9 and Freddy ensues to expose his Q 2 . Layne is not happy about Freddy's all-in push, but does not say anything. The player who went all-in pre-flop shows J J . The river is the A , which makes Layne blatanly upset at his missed opportunity to eliminate an opponent. He gives Freddy a look and stands up from the table and begins to explain his story to an on looking Tex Barch. In mere explanation of his decision, Deeb slips up and uses a word that causes him to recieve a 10-minute penalty. With Jean-Robert Bellande and Kathy Liebert at the table as well, the players seem to disagree with the decision to give him a penalty, under the circumstances, especially when he is so short-stacked. Flack leads the resistance, and after a raise by Bellande, he plays as though he is making his decision on how to act, yet is merely delaying as opposition to Freddy's penalty. The floor men quickly catch on and the situation is resolved, yet not with out some true friendship and camaraderie being exposed by these world-class competitors.
