I believe Harrah's allows for wiring of the money for the event up to 2 weeks prior to the event you are playing. Otherwise, show up with your cash at the cage/registration area before your event.
I would not wait until the actual day of the event you want to play. And if you are playing NLHE, the earlier, the better.
