Poker without money to lose and money to win at the end is not a real poker, everything is different when there is nice amount of money in the game, so yeah everyone gets in because of money, fun or not fun
A and C.... Main reason being I'm old and it helps pass the many hours of the day. And the small amounts of money I win each months helps the income I get from Social Security.
Hmmmm I Just Love the game! Playing online or live is just beautiful. Plus Competition and the Money is a bonus! learning strategy to become better is wonderful. Who doesn't want to be the best!! Poker is a Up and Down rollercoaster ride of bad beats and suck out's. But the more I learn about the game the less I put myself into bad spots to be sucked out. Whop Whop! So All of The Above!!!
I started playing because I enjoyed watching it on TV. My motivation for playing now is to get better. I often enjoy it less now that I'm concentrating on getting better !
It has to be the thinking process while playing poker, it really excites me to think through a hand, look and try to read other people, try and think what they have, try and read their physical tells.
I play poker because it makes me feel great. It takes my stress away and help my self-confidence . I am not playing it for money . It feels great when beating someone. I play for that feeling
