When you have a friend at the table

yeah but when you drive to a casino with a friend and are staying in the same room and have been best friends your whole life its just not right .. if you wind up at the same table you try and stay out of pots with them unless you have a monster its just the right thing to do..believe me ive been in the position knocking my friend out and then having to spend the weekend with him in the same hotel room and had a long drive home together lol

There are no friends at the poker table. Soft playing is the wrong thing to do, imo. Always.

Personally, I play poker because I love the competition. I like to win. I don't care if you're some guy I've never met and will never see again, or my own mother. If you just make sure they understand that up front, you have nothing to feel bad about. If you're not ok with the idea that at a poker table, I'm going to try my best to take your money, we just shouldn't play together.
