Whats higher flush or straight ?!?!?!?

hi guys, I would just know what is higher - a flush or straight ?
Because I was in a game and had a straight and the other guy had a flush and he won.....
just want to know that ....thx for any answers!

Flush
A flush is a poker hand such as Q♣ 10♣ 7♣ 6♣ 4♣, which contains five cards of the same suit, not in rank sequence. It ranks above a straight.

Straight
A straight is a poker hand such as Q♣ J♠ 10♠ 9♥ 8♥, which contains five cards of sequential rank, of varying suits. It ranks above three of a kind and below a flush.

You should also go all in any time you have an Ace. That way you'll be properly funded when getting all of your money in with a straight against a flush.

Well, that's just silly! To make a straight, you can use a run of 5 cards of any suit. A flush requires 5 cards of the same suit (as most of us know ), thereby making it harder to make a flush versus a straight.
