My least favorite hand is AJ, because it's very playable, especially when you have a short stack, but seems to always finish second in a hand. Basically, if you go all-in with AJ, you're rarely going to be called with worse. But, statistically, AJ has about the same value as 77 or 88.

Pocket pairs smaller then 8 & the flop comes out 2,3,4, someone calls all in, turn is a 5 & the player with A, 6 wins the lot.

with a lot of bad memories

I'll join multiple answers about 2 pairs. It's hard to fold 'em and can be very dangerous and fatal.

My least favorites are the following:

High Card - Usually means I missed a draw I chased. Hopefully was getting the right price to do so.

A lower two pair - Biggest losing hand in poker.

Top Straight on a card that completes a Flush draw.

no 72o's here, we're talking a final hand - like when you flop the wheel only to turn and river a 6 and 7, or flop two pair only to turn or river three pair (especially when one makes yours obsolete, not to mention opens up the boat possibility for your opponents).

so what is your least favourite, final hand in poker?

mine is definitely three pairs... i hate three pairs; probably the worst hand you can have in poker... next to the low super straight.. which is guess was my other example, and my second least fave. what's yours?

My least favorite final hand would be AJ.

What is your least favorite final hand?

As for me: especially annoying, when the similar combinations at showdown on the one step above me.. For example: I have straight, competitor(s) have more higher straight; I have flush, another(s) -- higher flush, etc.

Urgh! I had 3 pair at a home game the other night. I had 10 8. Flop came A, 10, 8 rainbow. All the chips went in the middle, He turns over QQ. Turn 6. River A. He wins with higher two pair. Distraught.

Also had two instances this week online of flopping the A high straight, once lost to straight flush and the other to a rivered full house. Shut down and went to bed.
