Make a straight ranked higher than a flush. For Hold'em anyway. I've never done the math it just seems like it's harder to hit a straight in Hold'em rather than a flush. I'm probably wrong though.
+1, thats the next best thing to the flush being removed completely
Pretty sure it's in "Little Green Book"

What would I change in poker?
How about.... have your 80/20's hold 99% of the time... and when you get it in on flop as a 90% fav.,.. have it win 100% of the time, lol. (fk this 'longrun' BS!)
In other words you want the sites to turn off the doomswitch they have on you.
For online poker I would get rid of late registration and re-buy. Absolutely hate late registration.
I absolutly love the late registration, whenever I have used it I usually get in at the last min possibleand my stack on most occasions is at the average or just below it.
Curious..... why would you want to get rid of 're-buy'????? This makes zero sense to me. Can you explain?
Me too, as balrog910 says below, it adds more $$$ to the prize pool, and if some donk sucksout on you at least you can still continue and then take all of the donks chips.
im pretty sure late registers r short stacked for the most part and rebuys put more money into the winnings so i dont understand why u wouldnt want them
Me niether.

How can your stack be average if you late reg? Surely if you register normally, everyone has say 3000 chips, average is 3000, it then goes up for every person eliminated. Say in a 500 man tourney, 100 go in the first hour and you late reg, the average would be 3750...

I would get rid of the rule that you have to be 21 to play in casinos. You can be 18 and play for money online but you have to be 21 to play in casinos, that don't make a lot sense to me. Plus casinos could make even more money if they expended the age limit to 18, (I know there rich as it is and they don't make the rules, just saying.)

I'm sure this idea is going to go over like a lead balloon.

I would get rid of 99% of the freerolls currently offered. They allow bad players to continue playing poker for money (even if only a pittance) without having to put money into the poker economy. I'd much rather have zero FRs and have FRWs depositing every pay day than 1 thousand FRs a day where fishes get their poker fix but 90% of them don't bring any money to the tables.

I say 99% of the FRs because the only ones that should stay are those offered as a reward for depositing and playing real money online.

Right, right, I get that, but what about?

For Hold'em? I think it's closer than you might think.

Think people get confused as when you flop a flush draw against a straight draw its easier to hit a flush than straight 9 outs against 8 for the straight.

according to table below nearly 80% more chance of a straight than a flush

AMEN!!!!!!!!!

I've been saying this forever. Everyone laughs at me but I really think it would put more skill back into the game and that J8s would be mucked as it should be instead of calling my AA 4-bet.

I'm pretty sure that I saw in a book somewhere that if you can identify the player that doesn't understand the value of suited connectors vs a player that will die with A A in her hand, then you should call her raises every time. After all A A is just a pair. Where as suited connectors have so many more ways to win. :D

Depends on stack sizes. If they dont have a deep stack, not worth calling with suited connectors

Seriously? Calling a 4-bet with J8s is +EV in your mind?

Get rid of all the donksters on full tilt who ruin your game and bring you ahvoc.

This is the stupidest answer to the stupidest thread on this forum.

It is the 'donksters' who make good Poker players money. If every one played perfect Poker then eventually the chips would just get transferred from one player to another. The game would be boring because eventually everyone would fold when anyone raised.

The game in itself is 'perfect' it cannot and should not be changed. Actually the only part of Poker that is inherently wrong is the rake. It is the rake which is the true enemy of the Poker player. He needs to beat his opponents and the casino to be profitable.

Until they eliminate or reduce the rake, the only thing Poker needs is more of this:

For online poker I would get rid of late registration and re-buy. Absolutely hate late registration.

Ditto on the people who ask why no rebuy? It has its own strategy, and if its not for you, just dont play em. Rebuys can be great games to play in if you understand how to approach them. And many tourneys have late registration, I pick off the donkeys stacks early if opportunity allows, and love all the smaller stacks joining. What I hate about late reg is getting a good read on my table and then getting moved to balance tables, but oh well.

Get rid of all the donksters on full tilt who ruin your game and bring you ahvoc.

Absolutely not. Why in the world would anyone want this?

Get rid of the flush, then the any 2 suited card monkeys will have to play a decent game instead of relying on luck.

I really do hope this is not serious because my sarcasm detector has been malfunctioning
