If it is only about poker, these countries do not adopt democracy in their politics, and their people have no freedom to choose what they like from hobbies, even if their hobby is a game like poker for example.

Japan doesn't forbid it, there are even sng games on ps.I see that the biggest problem is political and religious issues. I personally wouldn't even live in these countries.
I've also seen Japanese players at PokerStars several times.Given that I've been to places like Italy and Spain, for example, where (online) poker is strictly limited, next time planning a trip, it would be nice to avoid places where playing (online) poker can being kind of hard lol...
E: As I recall, someone from Japan played CC games from time to time, so I doubt they banned them. :not sure:
