If it is only about poker, these countries do not adopt democracy in their politics, and their people have no freedom to choose what they like from hobbies, even if their hobby is a game like poker for example.

There are a huge number of gambling people, and if these people also have money, then the government grabs their heads when they see how much money goes into gambling.
The USA is one of the first countries, which ban gambling in many areas i.e. casino, forex, betting, including because its citizens have a lot of money in their hands, and the government does not like that people spend it this way. This does not conflict with the fact that you can see Americans everywhere, I had a strict regulation in the first place.

for me it is very difficult to talk about the subject of prohibition here in brazil casinos are prohibited, but there are many bingo houses and clandestine poker clubs all over the country, online poker is neither prohibited nor regulated .... for me online poker the way it is here is good, it is not regulated there is no tax on winnings

I see that the biggest problem is political and religious issues. I personally wouldn't even live in these countries.
Japan doesn't forbid it, there are even sng games on ps.

But it's like you said, culturally, there's not much to do.

Political/religious prohibitions are useless. The main rulers or religious leaders must play poker 6 out of 7 days of the week.
It has always been like this, the more it is prohibited, the more the rule is broken.

The poker ban is a government decision and an internal issue of the state.
I don't know about living there. For me it would be a moment of general psychological discomfort more.

Given that I've been to places like Italy and Spain, for example, where (online) poker is strictly limited, next time planning a trip, it would be nice to avoid places where playing (online) poker can being kind of hard lol...

E: As I recall, someone from Japan played CC games from time to time, so I doubt they banned them. :not sure:
I've also seen Japanese players at PokerStars several times.

Personally, I don't really care what happens in another country with the game of poker, and if it is forbidden there, then it's their choice!!!

Well, I don't know. I've met Japanese people in poker quite often. As for the other countries listed, I really never met in poker. “Happy people” 😊

Banning instead of educating and letting choose is for monarchies, not democratic countries.

these things happen when you give power to a group of people. asia is normally a place of slaves that have absolutely no conscious of themselves.

Some have a different culture than others, so it is what it is. Poker can be risky financially speaking for most of the players on the other hand is profitable also but the countries that ban poker definitely has a different way of seeing gambling than other countries.
