What will the feeling be? Tired, empty, don't know what to do? Or the more miserable thought is that even though I lost to badbeat, I think "maybe I can do better" or "I can just discard that hand" or "is there a more optimal way?"

But the reality is, in all tournaments, whether micro or high stakes, there are other athletes who have to experience the feeling of yesterday's Wintersea. Tournament Poker in general or Poker in particular, one person's joy is another person's sadness in those moments. It was simply bad luck at a crucial moment.

But that's easy for outsiders to say. For insiders, when faced with great opportunities and encounter such unlucky situations, of course Tilt and Tiu lose their loz, don't sit there and make excuses :))))

So, what should we do when we are tilted in poker?

You and I are both human, and as human beings we must have emotions. And we should RESPECT that emotion whether positive or negative if we want to overcome it. When you tilt up, it's impossible to stop being nervous with someone else's words: Don't be shy anymore, calm down!

The first thing you need to do when tilted is NOT PLAY ANY MORE. Avoid spending extra money, because if you play you will lose.

The second thing you need to do is DO NOTHING.

The third thing you need to do is sleep. After waking up, it's a new day.

After the new day passes, you will be alert enough to review yesterday to see if there were any mistakes or improvements. There is no miracle for the pain to suddenly disappear, unless you are a Zen master who has practiced for many years. Reach the point where suffering or unpleasant things no longer affect you.

Being shy is a natural feeling, being bad in poker is something that must be accepted. Just move on and come back stronger. If you really want to work deeper with yourself to be able to overcome depression more easily, I recommend that you listen to the Dharma, or find methods to thoroughly control your inner emotions. long distance, note that the distance is long but not fast.

One last thought, usually when you get out because of badbeads during a deep run in a tournament. You often forget that you did very well to get to that level, and you also get a bonus instead of leaving empty-handed. Learn to rejoice and appreciate, look at the positive side of problems to make life less painful 😁

Just a Game ☺️

Have a good day everyone ☘️

What a thoughtful and insightful message! 🙏 It's essential to acknowledge and respect our emotions, both the highs and lows in poker. Tilt can be a tough opponent to face, and your advice to step away, do nothing, and get some rest is spot on. A fresh perspective often helps in these situations.

You're absolutely right; it's a journey of self-improvement. Each hand, each game is a learning experience. Remember, it's not about the bad beats but how you handle them that defines your growth as a poker player. 😁

And indeed, life is a game in its own right, and we must appreciate the positive aspects even in challenging moments. Keep your spirits high and have a great day at the tables, everyone! 🍀😊

You give recommendations on what to do to the player after the tilt. And I can give a more valuable recommendation. How to avoid tilt altogether.
In my case, everything is very simple. I play only for the money I can afford to spend. I have a very clear and understandable bankroll management, it is 2-3% of my bankroll for one game session. And thanks to this, I simply do not have tilt. It never happens :)
I don't know if anyone will use my advice, but for me this system works 100% :)

My tilt problem isn't when I lose, it's when I win any sizeable amount I go crazy trying to double it up as fast as I can. Of course I end up blowing it all to some random player's delight! I have it licked though. I started to withdraw winnings immediately. It is actually quite gratifying to see it accumulate in the bank.

When I get tilt a lot, I like to turn off the computer, take like a day or two to relax, and clean my mind, them back with my mind in control.

All you have to do is just be a disciplined player. Adhering to bankroll management is the best solution to prevent tilt. Quite simple rules give us a good result :)

Poker is a lottery. If you are a good player, you just have more tickets (c) Harington.
When you buy a ticket and don't win - well, that's what happens. And if you win, great.
Yesterday I played a x10 tournament from my ABI, qualified via satellite, got a bad beat and I was eliminated. And I’ll tell you there was not a bit of tilt.
P.S. It just wasn't a winning ticket.

Deffo putting the game down for the night or day helps. I never get off in time ha ha. I end of staying on the tables longer then I should.

A lot better now these days but I like the idea suggested only using 2 or 3% bankroll, that's what I try to do anyway now.
