We obviously live in a society where the government feels the right to become step father bob. It is in no way their right to tell american people where they can or can not spend their money. They allow cigarette smoking, alcholic beverages to be consumed but an american citizen can not sit in his/her living room, on his/her computer and do such things as place money on a poker tournament, wager on a game of bingo, gamble on a sporting event. Why isnt it legal? Government cries about young people becoming addicted, the number of compulsive/addictive gamblers will skyrocket. Of course theres negatives that come from online gambling but is there not negatives that comes from such choices as smoking a cigarette or drinking a beer? Take smoking cigarettes its.. legal, it may add a yellow tint youre teeth, blacken your lungs, cause difficulty breathing, cause cancer... but go ahead. Alcohol.. enjoyable? some say so, physically addicting? yes. Just like gambling it can effect ones job, family, and most any phase of a persons life so why doesnt the government do something about these issues instead of bothering those who choose to gamble? It should be our right as legal adults to make these choices just like smoking a cigaratte or popping a bottle of wine. Could you imagine the government pulling a stunt like delegalizing pornographic images??? It can cause such issues as compulsive masturbation, physical injury due to excessive masturbation. It would cause an outrage, just like this outrage... its not fair!

It's all about taxes man. They don't care about the side affects of cigarettes and alcohol as long as they can tax the hell out of the production and sale of each. Same with mortar and brick casinos and pornographic material. As soon as something goes on that they can't get money out of you, it is deemed illegal and millions must be spent on court cases.
