Did another MTT & didn't cash again. Maybe cash games would be better for me. The SNGs in AC don't seem to offer a good enough payout IMO.

huh, i think that only way where you can take some big money is mtt... You can get some nice profit in cash games but you need hard multy table play and ofc luck and skill :) so i think go tournamets :)

I prefer tournaments, because there for little money you can get more, the cash games are good but it's harder for me, if you are not very good poker player you can loose a lot of money. However I also play cash games like everyone poker player because we play to make money and the more money is at the cash tables.

I prefer cash games when not overseas and actually living in Vegas. I am just a 1-2 bum there and sometimes 2-5 at Bellagio, which is the game that is actually beatable compared to 1-2 besides at the Golden Nugget. Anyway, to answer this, cash games are by far going to have less variance than tournaments, so if the goal is to make money, consistently, then cash games are the way to go...

I prefer cash games because there is more money in them in the long run and I don't have to be chained to my desk/poker table for hours on end until I bust.

I prefer Sit n Gos and MTTs to the cash game. It just seems like the rake in the cash games is too hard to overcome in the long haul. But just playing in MTTs is not the way to go, as you can go a long time without cashing anything of significant value since the payoffs are so top heavy.

Yes, you can get more from a MTT, but when you're not cashing in them you aren't making anything. I think I could walk away from cash games with at least some profit more often than a MTT.

Ive always been a tournament player at heart but cash games are way easier to beat on a realistic basis. A lot of players play cash games in order to "freeroll" themselves into tournaments. Since tournaments take so much luck to win it can be very frusterating when you go on a dry spell.

cash anyway

tournaments or cash ,
Well you can get the cash flow either way and yeah long hours of play in the tournaments but they are worth the cash and improve your game I think, although im having it rough these days, I would for sure say tourneys for cash.Goodluck which ever you do.:)

I don't employ this strategy, as I rarely play cash games. This may seem ghetto, but I think the best way to play them is to do a hit and run if you double or triple up. This may seem ghetto, but it seems the longer you sit at a cash game after being up for example, eventually your lower flopped set vs their higher set ends up eating all your profit up, along with the rake.

Cash games are easier, but its also easier to tilt.

In a SNG you lose what a dollar, 3 dollars if you are at micros, at cash you could lose 20 in one hand, be prepared.

I got up to 10-25 cash.. held myself quite well but then the swings came.. ain't gonna try cash again till losing 20-50 bucks doesn't matter as much anymore.

There will be times when you get it in good and think yus! and get sucked out on in quick succession.

^ LOL

I prefer cash games because if you're playing the micros you can only lose like $2 in one hand, but playing SNGs you could lose $5000 in one tournament so be very careful guys

Definitely tournaments.

You are putting in a clearly delineated amount of your poker stake, without the temptation to keep buying in when you are losing.

The pressure of increasing blinds and antes creates opportunities for well-timed aggression that will win you pots that might otherwise be called and lost when your opponent can simply rebuy chips.

Done right, you can hope to enjoy more time playing the game than you might at a cash table with the same amount of stake at risk.
