Hello,

I've played about 4 small tourneys with $50 buy-ins with a field of 150-250 on average and usually placed within the last 2-4 tables but never in the final table. I'm usually short stack and get called for my all in by a better hand and I end up getting knocked out. For some reason I want to play a $25,000 guaranteed, NL hold'em tournament with a $180 buy-in +$20 entry fee; 1 optional $80 Re-buy. I am here to ask for some advice. Tournament starts with $5000 in tournament chips and re-buys give an additional $5000 in tournament chips. 20 minutes blind level.

I don't know how to approach this bigger tournament. Is it the same play as the smaller $50 buy-in at other casinos? Will this tournament differ if it is held at a Indian casino where they allow 18 year olds in? How do I play a 1 optional re-buy tournament? I don't even know how to play a unlimited re-buy tourney if there is any difference. Is it suggested to take advantage of this 1 re-buy or not? Does the skill level differ from $50 buy-ins to $200 buy-ins? Or will there be many weak players in it for the big prize pool? Same goes for the well experienced players? Anything else I should keep in mind before playing this tourney?

Thanks!
