Oddly enough, I go on worse tilt when I make an inaccurate or poor play than when I get my money in at the right spot and lose to a suck-out/underdog. For example, the other day I got my money in on the flop with AK after hitting an Ace, someone called with AJo, caught a runner-runner flush, and felted me. I went on tilt for about 40 seconds before returning to my solid, focused game. The next session I made a poor read and tried a 3-bet bluff that failed and went on tilt for the rest of the session.

I am a competitive person by nature, so I think deep down I would rather outplay everyone and get felted than make poor reads and suck out for a lot of money.

Yes, it's strange how different things make different players go on tilt. When I make the right decision but get stacked anyway, it puts me on tilt, but when I make a bad decision but get lucky I feel a sense of euphoria :)

Shows what a bad player I am :)

The way to really fix the problem is to discipline yourself and understand that at the end of the night, you are still gambling. Bad Beats happen out of pure luck, usually no skill is involved in a bad beat.

KK vs AA and KKA come on the board. AA goes all in and you lose to an Ace on the river. If you went all in before the river there is nothing you could have done to avoid it.

The way I look at it now is understanding that I did everything right. I had Quads on the flop and a guy pushes me all in, even if I lose, I know that I did everything right and going into the fight, I was winning. You lost the hand, but not from lack of skill.

+1

If I lose to a bad beat but played it well, I can shrug it off and carry on playing but if I lost because of mistakes I was making, that's when I go on tilt

Go all in the the next hand to get your chips back !!!
haha JK Do not do that srs!! =P

Take a break is a good option and try to realise this is a part of the game , and if you made the right call in the hand you should be feeling good and know next time it will go your way! good luck

Hi my pokerpals
Please how can I manage my anger due to a bad beat ?
I am playing and when this sh... happens I start to lose my good stack .

you make the right decisions nothing else matters other than making profitable choices. bad beats are meaningless and shouldnt matter if you have a bankroll

if you fold Q7 off to a raise and flop a full house it doesn't matter because you will lose a hell of alot more if you start calling with Q7 off.

the same with bad beat, you will win alot more if people keep donk calling you.

After taking a "bed beats", it is difficult to not "go on tilt" ... Often the best thing to do is leave a little of the front of the computer and to give an air head, to not lose larger amounts in tables ...

You need to learn how to cope with it, I have gotten a lot better at this aspect. One thing I would recommend is a stop loss after you lose x amount of buyins quit.

Over time you will learn to cope alot better with bad beats and you won't tilt as bad it just takes time, by now I know just get up an stop playing, till the next day, and I just think if there was a better way I should have played that hand, should I have played it more aggressive preflop , or was it just a bad beat, but I don't start playing again till I know I have my emotions in check!!!;)

Listen, a very good thing is to prevent the tilt. How do you do it? Well, just simply take note if the things that make you tilt (a badbeat, or you lose a hand in which you were favourite, etc), And also take note of your reactions when you are on tilt (you play looser than usually, you start speaking in a loud voice, or start insulting other players). So when you feel you are doing any of this, or are about to do them, just stop playing for a while, and then return when you have calmed down, and want to play.
