Cigarettes are evil, I have quit smoking and have not smoked for seven years now, and it is good that smoking is prohibited in poker tournaments

I managed to quit for over a year then lockdown boredom drove me back to it. Most of my buddies are smokers so at home games it's usually pretty thick with smoke. When playing online I usually use the 5min break to go outside for a drag.

Yeah it is a filthy habit, and it is literally killing me...

I smoke myself and sometimes more, sometimes less, but I find it disrespectful to smoke in places where there are people who do not smoke. It's all about being together and that's why I think you can take the people next to you into consideration. When I play online I also smoke but when I play live poker I would not just smoke at the table but go out briefly to smoke. But today it is forbidden to smoke in most public places anyway, there are usually specially screened rooms for smoking

one of the things that bother me a lot is tolerating someone else on the table smoking cigarettes and give myself the free will to enjoy second-hand smoking right along with him/her throughout the entire gameplay. it bothers me a lot, not only during the game even after the game it makes all my nasals and mouth and my lungs dry. some players don't understand the number of cigarettes is consuming during the game just because they feel like losing the game.

first of all, for those players I should say that cigarette makes your brain weaker and doesn't let your brain to make a proper decision it makes your heart pump fast and your blood pressure high and your lungs dry so it lessens your brain function and in lung run those players may experience loses
do not smoke not only on the poker table but everywhere, take good care of your health

I believe that well established works. Preventing smoke from bothering other players in any way is the main thing.
As for the question of smoking or not, I see it as a personal decision.
Of course, the best option is not to get sick. But when it comes to cigarettes, it's the exaggeration that brings the biggest problems.

I was a smoker as a teenager and my wife was too but we've both quit for 5 years now. We still have a vape every now and then so we're not totally off the habit of inhaling something cool, but now we both dislike the cigarette smoke and wouldn't fall for cigarettes again. We got to a point where we find smokers a bit disgusting if that makes sense, weird. Our home smells really nice from the vape now. Just hope everyone could get off that killing habit. I mean it's worth giving it up for other productive, good habits like sports or anything good. You would be surprised how easily it can be replaced. As for smoking anywhere, I'm totally against it, for the sake of the people being killed by it.

I am a smoker but I can understand frustration that other player might have, I personally always step up away from table so not to bother fellow players.

But smoking is legal, and as long as I smoke and it is legal we smoker still should have some rights.

I will give up smoking the day they make it illegal.

Unfortunately, I smoke myself, but I never smoke in the house and when it bothers someone !!! I quit smoking once and didn't carry it for about 1 year and then I started again !!!
