I most recently finished up the HoH set which are amazing, (feel like I'm already starting to wear them out by going over sections again and again).

On to the main topic though, for someone who mainly focuses on NL STTs and MTTs and is wanting to pick up a sklansky book for the first time. Which one do I go with first?

I was trying to decide between:

- Theory of Poker
- NLHE: Theory and Practice
- Tournament Poker for advanced players

I eventually want to read/own them all but should I start with anyone in particular and why?

NLHE: Theory and Practice is excellent on the math, but is primarily cash game applications. For MTTs, Tournament Poker will be of more immediate value.

Phil Gordon's Little Green and Little Blue books are very good, well written and easy to understand.

I think The Theory of Poker is the best all around poker book ever written. It won't make you an expert at SNG's or MTT's, but it will help you become a better player in every variation of poker that you do play.

Certainly get one of the other books that deal specifically with the game that you usually play. At the same time go ahead and splurge and buy yourself a copy of The Theory of Poker, it’s worth every penny
