Do you prefer to have a pair or two high cards,
ex: JJ / AQ
Whose side are you on the pair or the high cards?

I always wanted to have a pair, because often a pair makes a set.

Of course, JJ :
1) It easier to play, as minimum for me)
2) If you get set on a flop - you now that only you get set, and will not get situations, when you see Ace on flop with AQ, and you don't 100% know - has opponent better hand with Ace or not.
3) It easier to fold JJ, if there A\K\Q on board, and you not get set.
4) You have 10% more chances to win pot with JJ versus random hand)

That's how I think now, I'm not really experienced, to be sure in everything written above) Will glad to see objections and counterexamples, to improve my knowledge)

I'd take the 2 high cards everyday of the week... Why?
Because when you call with lower pairs you have just slightly over 50% which sounds favourite and great? but what about the times your wrong and you call someone with higher pocket pairs. You soon lose that small couple % advantage.

Look at the game Holistically.

You are able to make your own style of play yourself There are several styles of players you can see where it fits best and always be honest with the game correct mistakes and don't make them

a pair is a better hand than any other combination of cards on preflop a pair of JJ is always better than having AQ

Hello.
In my opinion, a pair of JJ is a more promising option, because it is a ready-made pair.

I think I like to have a pair. It's clearly a coin flip but having a pair is better than having an unpaired hands, isn't it?

Of course, JJ is more sympathetic to me. Although the AK suits are very strong. But still, I'd rather have QQ than AK.

JJ would the choice between those two hands. It is favored to win pre-flop.

If it is a high pair or a pair over the nines, I prefer the pair, because I already have something good and the abilities are more.
