Poker Tracker 3 and PAHUD

Could someone explain why it is suggested to use a combination of PT3 and PAHUD? I am currently using the 60 day trial of PT3 and am getting used to checking stats as we go along. What does PAHUD add to the experience?

There is no separate PAHUD anymore. When it was PT2 you needed PAHUD, with PT3 the HUD is integrated.
