sometimes it happens at poker tables even some friendly tables that someone does not like the style, type, your appearance, your talk, or anything else and starts nagging you about them and your gameplay especially when you are on a winning roll, how do you respond to those people on the table.

I believe that if you penetrate more under their skin you will make them tilt and you are the one who takes the advantage of winning. i myself try to be quiet on the table and just concentrate on my gameplay

I don' t respond to these behaviors, I don' t give them attention, and this damages their plans. I try to focus to my course!

The best thing is that you mention being quiet and focused, I have made mistakes in answering them and it changes my way of playing negatively because I get hooked on the fight, it will never leave anything good to answer them, the best thing is to deactivate the chat:jd4::jd4::jd4::jd4:

If you are talking online, definitely just ignore. I usually don't even look at chat if I even have it open. I have definitely seen people affected playing live by table talk though. I've seen regulars harrass others for playing loose and calling their raises with not great cards , only to see them start to fold more. You need to play with confidence and block out any negativety

I agree with your attitude.

Usually they say something very immature that doesn't really make sense.

Yes you can let them tilt just by ignoring them and sticking to your game.

Sometimes I just say nothing at all and they get so angry, "What you're not going to answer me?" And still I say nothing.

If they blush and turn red then I know they are tilting and I'm already thinking about the next hand I will get into with them! LOL

Good luck !

I have to admit a buddy and I used to talk most of the time just about anything because the room we were playing at the people there hated it. We never belittled a player or even talked about their play we just talked. Often this annoyed them and caused them to play bad. I know it was obnoxious but it was effective. Do you think that was wrong?

Yes, many people really intentionally communicate in order to spoil the mood of the opponent or distract his attention from the game. I always turn off the chat because I came to play poker. And I recommend it to you.

To put it simply, ignore them. Disabling chat is the best way to stay focused on gaming.
Good luck and stay cool. ;)

I guess it really depends on how you want to play. Getting people riled up and on tilt can actually go against you. They become less predictable, more volatile and more likely to shove with any two cards... If you are a "get-it-all-in-by-the-river" kind of player, no worries. But if you are into pot control, putting someone on tilt can ruin your game-plan.
In live play, acting like a **** might get your nose bloodied. But online, there is always one jerk who spends all their time mouthing off. Probably best not to be that person. Winning is fun, but leaving the game area littered with people who no longer enjoy the game is not good for poker. And if it isn't good for poker, it isn't good for us.
Cheers,
ObbleeXY

Not "wrong".

But what could you guys possibly talk about that tilted players like that? lol

Politics? Women? International scandal?

Just curious.

sometimes it would be how much better one of us was than the other, Maybe we talked about cars or the weather it was just that it was constant banter sometimes even across tables if we were close but on different tables. We played with a lot of older players that just either didnt want to hear it or it bothered their concentration. Not that I was that young I was in my mid 50s. He was an army recruiter and I was a former MP so we also talked about that.

let your skills talk for you..

If you like to use chat, to get under other's skin, that's your call. Think it though, you could just as likely put a target on yourself, for the big stacks. Often, you see a big stack try to bully, specifically because a player chats rudely, or plays out of line.

I prefer to concentrate only on my game play, not my word play.

I do not care what others say or think while playing poker, especially if it's my opponents. I just try to be as focused as possible and make the right decisions. I believe that the final table will always show who is the best, without any talk.

I get aggravated by lucky losers who make a -ve EV play and then talk like they made the right decision to call when they lucked out starting from behind They should take the money and shut up or admit they made the wrong call

do not focus on the bad comments, try to focus on your game only analyze the talker if he is on "tilt" and use it against him in your favor try to see his game movements and make him make mistakes or wait for him to make a mistake and it is an opportunity to double up at the table, most of the talkative players who make criticisms are easy to make them lose control of their game they can easily be destabilized because they are upset and we can keep all their chips.
