I came to poker stars with only 100 dollars and I played on those 1/2 dollar tables. I have been getting really lucky and been getting good hands and worked my way up to $500. I was about to cash out but I kept playing and began losing. I went on tilt and went to the bigger blinds 5/10 dollar tables and was getting lucky there and I got up to $700 and went to the 2/4 tables and managed to work my way up to $1,000. You would think i'd cash out right? it was hard as hell with me going on tilt and all to even get up to that amount. No I decided to keep playing and in a few days I had managed to get 2,000 dollars from playing at the 2/4 tables. It seemed that something fishy was going on and I was kind of losing on some bad beats so I cashed out. BUT I was saying to myself get at least 3,000 then cash out for sure. So I told them to cancel the check. Here's where the nightmare starts. I went to the 2/4 tables all seemed well as I was at about 2,100 but then something just changed. I started to get rivered a lot where in cases it would not happen that much. Such things like i'd have 3 of a kind and they hit their flushh or I'd have a flush and they have a full house. I started to lose a lot and found myself at 1,500 dollars. You'd think i'd cash out but this is where it all started. I went to the 50/100 tables and I was playing tight only playing with really good hands, but again was getting rivered a lot and losing 300 dollar pots etc. I found myself at about 1,000 dollars then the BULLSHIT OF ALL BULLSHIT HAPPENED, I was dealt a kj of spades and the flop came 6s, 3s, 8d, 5 players were in the the hand with about 600 dollars already in it. I was saying to myself just one more spade and I got this pot won and im cashing out, I checked the flop and some one bet and another person raised while another reraised, I just called. now 1,000 dollars in the pot, the turn card was a 4c. I was saying to myself please give me a spade, at this point I only had 600 dollars left. someone raised while the other two people just called and I did the same. I closed my eyes praying for a spade and guess what? a spade hit, 9s. I was jumping for joy thinking there was no way I could lose this pot as there is no sign of a full house. So I went ahead and bet and the next person calls and the other folds, and the last player RAISES. I was thinking to myself he's probably just trying to bluff me making me think he hit a flush so I was saying there is no way you can win and I reraised, then the next person folds, but then the last person RE RE RAISES. Now i'm starting to get a little scared and I pause for a second and I call with my eyes closed. When I open my eyes. By far THE WORST feeling I have EVER had in my entire life he has As, 4s. I litterally fell apart on the ground There was 2,349 in that pot and I was left with only 200 dollars. I went crazy throwing my t.v on the ground yelling at the dog and broke a mirror. I was thinking to myself I am never playing on here ever again. I went to sleep with thoughts about me just taking my 2,000 and walking. I woke up still hurting. I had a little over 200 dollars left and I played in a heads up match for 200 dollars. I was thinking to myself I have to win this if I am of thinking of any chance of getting my money back. unfortuanetly I lossed with me going all in on one hand and the oppenent having a pair but a higher kicker. I wasn't as mad as the damage had already been done but I was thinking about that loss everyday for the past 2 weeks. I just couldn't get it out of my head. 2 weeks later I go back on poker stars and I look at my bank roll and it says 0.53 cents. It hurt to look at that. But I seem to be forgetting something, I had like 2,000 fpp points. I was trying to find out what I can do with them. Then found out there was a tourny that leads to the MONTHLY sunday million which is 530 dollars. So I went ahead and played. There was a little over 80 players and they had only 6 entries to the sunday million. I was doing good in the tourny but came across a problem. Blinds were getting big and I went all in with pocket 3's I got called with pocket 6's and the AMAZING HAPPENED. On the flop he hit a 6, but the the turn and the river were spades which gave me a one card flush over his 3 of a kind. From that point I never looked back and won a 530 ticket to the mil tounry but it was T$ which the only way I knew to convert it to money was to play in a tourny. After winning a ticket out of 80 something ppl and only giving away 6. I felt like I could take on anything. I played a 500 dollar heads up game. but found out that the person I was playing against was on fire. I went to sharkscope.com and saw that he had won six 500 dollar heads up matches in a row. He told me that he was going to take my money and that I couldn't beat him. I didn't have any fear. I knew that now was the time that I had to play my best poker ever. Only this time I treated it like championship of some sort. I played my ass off and had him dominated the whole time. knowing when he was bluffing and knew when to bet or raise. Finally he was down to about 800 in chips and went all in before the flop and I called with 7's up against his AQ. I hit a 7 on the flop and I won the match. I had a 1,000 dollars and was happy as hell. I never looked back after that winning 6 double shoot out satellites to the sunday 530. I forgot all about the monthly mil being that big. I cashed out with about 4,000 dollars from my winnings. and this month cashed out 1500 this week.

So my tip is if something seems to be going wrong or you seem to be getting losing by bad beats, you should stop and find another way how to make money. The best bet is to play in those 13 dollar sat for a ticket to the 530 dollar monthly. I probably have the most dramatic story on poker stars. Rounders movie aint got shit on my story lol.

You sound like any other person with a gambling problem. Happy endings should not be over-glamourised.

Serious BRM issues, so be careful :)

lol, hell of a story. I liked the part when u said " I played my ass of like it was some sort of championship against a player that had won six $500 dollar tournys in a row and was domintaing him the whole time". and your right, rounders doesn't have shit on your story, and with only 100 dollars???? SICK. Never heard of anything like that before. I printed this page out so I can show it to my wife. Very nice skies you are one true champion. Also what name do you play under?

Very nice story but you really need to learn not to play $200/$500 heads up tournaments with your WHOLE bankroll, i dont think i could ever bring myself to do that, i also won a sat to the Sundays Million about a week ago but unregisterd and got the $530 T$ instead, so wasn't to bad for about an hours work on a 27 player 1,200 FPP lol, anyways was a very nice story, but you really need to get some help with your bankroll management and maybe some help to stop gambling so bad!

Very nice skies you are one true champion. Also what name do you play under?

He is nothing more than a volatile fool. This is the true definition of fish. They need to win everything and feel emotionally tied to their money. They aren't satisfied with picking a few hundread here and there. They have to keep going until they are broke.

Thats the truth of his story, he got greedy. Even if he did hit his $3000 he would of lost it all because he always wanted more. If he hit his 3000 he would of kept playing to $5000 and I love it because people like him pay my bills.

This type of players is the sole reason why I can earn a living playing high stakes online poker. But I come with harshness in this thread because it is full of glamour, hardship and happy endings - which is dangerous for new players.

Whats to say a new player doesn't go deposit $100 now and try to do the same thing? Truth is the guy probably hit a few lucky hands and double up a few times and then went on a rush getting lucky.

You dont actually have to be that good a poker player to make money online, you just have to be able to manage your bankroll effectively and beat tilt. The best part of that is, not many people have the ability to do either of those things very well, let alone both of them!
