Well, here is something to consider for all of us. One, the casino owner in Vegas that is giving online poker headaches is a Republican and he is not going to be listened to by the current power in DC. Two, many of the people that are going to be in power in the new administration love President Obama who is a poker player. Three, with 2 branches of the government now Democrat, this bodes well for poker lovers. Now, no matter what your personal political choice, the Democrats, with Obama's influence, are not as hostile to poker as the GOP.

So, here is a thing that I believe we can do. Start making calls or writing to members of Congress. The United States could have a change in how the law is written in a short time if we band together and voice our wants. Just saying, we could make a change for the better real fast.

For me, this was the discovery of the fact that political preferences may have some influence on poker. I would still understand this if we were talking about authoritarian rulers. But not when choosing between Republicans and Democrats. However, I still know so little...

Although, in my country, poker is officially recognized as a sport, but in any case, gambling has always been lobbied by various political forces. And it's very unfortunate, because it often prevents us from fully enjoying this wonderful game. I hope that the situation in your country will change for the better in the near future.
