Amazon.com: The Poker Mindset: Essential Attitudes for Poker Success: Ian Taylor, Matthew Hilger: Books
Just finished it, thought it was a great read.
I've seen some people recommend Zen and the Art of Poker...I own that as well, and both are geared towards the right mindset you should have towards playing serious poker. Personally I preferred this one to Zen. Both are good, but the approaches are different.
There's both some general poker playing advice in here but mostly it's about how to not let downswings affect how you play, good bankroll management, tilt, how to read signs that opponents may be on tilt or exhibiting poor mindsets and even how you might *encourage* opponents to play poorly at times etc. There's lots of good advice in here and for some reason the way it was laid out and worded resonated well.
I got it off of the pokerstars fpp store. Recommended!
