Like all other professionals in life, even in the sports world, singers, movies,i belive poker has rising stars and fallen stars. and there also are legends .poker is no exception to that. riding a bike ,at first time, makes you fall several times, but eventually you dont put too much effort anymore, even if you havent taken a ride for a long time ,you easily ride one.basic instincts.poker is something similar. The biggest ,the best, the unique poker players, never fall for long, they sooner or later get up,dust themsleves, get out of a bad rut in playing ,and start winning again. These basic facts, are what make some players stand out ,and others dont.my regards.love to see comments on others opinion on that.feel free to sincerely give your own opinion on this.

The things that might make any poker star fall in the field of poker are his addiction to gambling, drugs, or some family or psychological problems.

i believe, your first opinion,is the real cause.Addiction. most poker players who have a chronic addiction ,even when haven won big,on any particular night,or one day of playing, dont take a break, and they pop up the very next day for another game, and mightprobably have a big chance of losing some big winnings.due to addictive playing, rather than resorting to something more fun to do,and coming back maybe after a week or two.yes, your point of view is right on target.

I absolutely agree with you. Previously, when I first started playing poker, it was 14 years ago, I treated it just as a game. Today I look at poker as something more than just a game. For me it’s philosophy, psychology, science and much more. In this game, as in any other area of life, in order to achieve success you need to show character. Without character, a person is doomed to failure. I like the expression of Confucius: “He is not great who has never fallen, but he is great who has fallen and stood up!”

Yes, I agree with you. I believe that people born with a certain talent, also learning is easier for some people. And everyone knows that if you're above average at math, it's going to be easier for you to master poker skills.

All life is made up of ups and downs. Therefore, we must come to terms with this.

"Oh, I feel you! Spending 5-8 hours in tournaments is pretty standard, especially for the ones with nice payouts. As a beginner, it's a solid way to dive into the game. I remember when I started; those longer tournaments taught me a ton. It's like a poker marathon, you know? 😄 How about you? How do you handle the marathon sessions, and what's your take on the whole tournament experience?"

Opinions on poker vary, but many would agree that success in the game can be unpredictable, with some players experiencing highs and lows over time.

Agree somewhat. It's more like the majority of stars fall and the few rise. Specially long term. Being and staying a winning player long term is hard.

Cheers!!!

There are quite a few good players and professionals. Among them, of course, there are real legends. But all these are things that are essentially irrelevant for an average player like you and me. The main thing is your goals and your results. There is no point in choosing a favorite among professionals. The main thing is to gradually and step by step move towards your own goals. I am in no way motivated by the achievements of Daniel Negrianu, or any other professional player. I just understand that I probably won't be able to achieve such results. This does not mean that I am a pessimist, I just realistically assess my opportunities and chances. Nevertheless, I am more than sure that poker can be a source of additional income for me. This is currently the main priority for me and a reference point that allows me to move forward in the right direction and without inflated expectations :)
