If you are too tired to sit, you are too tired to play optimal poker. You are clearly tired if you have to lay down so better to sleep no doubt about it.

I play sitting, and having attention and emphasis on my back being straight. Just this aspect alone - straight back - allows to concentrate and have results better. So, no, I never play horizontally, nor I suggest that to others.
