I started for fun in high school, but the prospect of winning loads of money was always in the back of my hand. Only when started playing at casino tournaments did my view of fun change to work.

It is for fun. Only the lucky ones (if you can call them that) do it for a job.

For me, poker is a hobby. I tried to play on a constant winning. But I can not boast of great achievements. But I like to play and will continue.

For someone poker is fun, but for someone work. And for them it is not fun, and tedious. With analysis of hands played with the teaching of the theory, viewing videos and so on.

I love poker. But I totally realize that I'm not even close to playing as a full time thing, or if I ever will be.
I love the game, and gambling in general. The idea of making money by playing games excites me.

I have been playing poker to make money since I got out of school. I have been playing 40 plus hours playing 2/5 at casinos. But I would like to start playing online. I wish there was "legal" poker but sadly it looks like it will take a while.

Money all the way. The game is boring if there isn't money involved.

Its a job for a very select few, and fun for the rest of us! Any winnings are a bonus in my eyes!!

Having said that, who wouldn't want to play poker for a living? We shouldn't underestimate the amount of time the pros put into learning the theory of the game and analysing hand histories. Those who make a career out of it spend as much time developing their understanding of the game as they do around the table playing hands.

I'm just happy to earn a few extra dollars where I can and have a great time in the process :)
