It's probably not worth much. Take a look around eBay and see what they have sold for in the past (NOT what someone is asking).
My cat puts her treasures under the couch. That would be a good place to check.Yes, 5 years ago, I kept a 100 dirham chip, about $10, from Mamounia Casino, but I don't know how I lost it last year.
Casino chips in Nevada must, by law, be destroyed if the venue goes out of business. There are related sections of the law to deal with casinos that change their chips. Therefore, most high value, retired chips from Nevada are not available in bulk on the resale market. The lower denom chips are often scooped up by collectors in bulk while they are live. Some chips, like any that were held by the Binion family (Horseshoe mostly) were secreted away decades ago when they were supposed to be destroyed (rumour has it). The rumour is verified repeatedly when hundreds of them appear on eBay whenever their presence wains and the price goes up. This happened very recently. It's an interesting question - does anyone know what happens to casino chips once that casino closes down? Imperial Palace is now The Linq, I believe.
I stayed at the IP about 15 years ago and loved the 'dealertainment' blackjack tables staffed by celebrity lookalikes. We had 'Stevie Wonder' dealing to us at one point and a) this guy could see, and b) he'd heard literally all the jokes...
