There's been a lot of people claim bots are used at this site and that site, that they don't exist, that they can't be beat, and on and on.For those that think they don't exist, i have some nice Sahara Desert farm land with lots of trees and lake front views for just a buck an acre. The real deal on bots are they have been around for years, and they are getting better every year. Neo bot was touted as the best, when actually it ranked 5th with Polaris and Bluffbot being the top two. Polaris won 3, lost 2, and one draw. As far as bots being used on an online poker site, your not going to get one that will make you squat, the advanced bots are used and made by research companies and universities for competition purposes. The fly by night companies offer bots that are either scams or useless junk thrown together. And the sites that do go after any bots have tools to detect them, while many sites act like they don't exist, because the average bot is nothing to worry about to start with. With any game that has concealed cards, it is impossible to figure out the outcome of the hand even for computers. No intelligence human or artificial can predict the random
hands unless one KNOWS the hole cards, therefore a site would have to supply this information to the bot user. While extremely unlikely, it has happened in the past. You can read that all over the
poker news sites, it's no secret, but no new rogues have appeared since those fiascoes. Sure, there have been bots at every site that's here now and long gone, but they weren't at the micro stakes, that would be like using a Rolls Royce to win a $50 demolition derby. Anyway, a bot is easily 'flustered' by changing your own play. You probably will never encounter one, but it isn't out of the realm of possibility. So, since we don't see thousands of millionaire online poker players that are using bots, they don't seem to be nothing to worry about, or wouldn't EVERYBODY be using them? I would be more worried about a shill than a bot.
