I'm sure lots of people have been given the opportunity to live off of playing poker. However, I think the problem with being able to live off of poker is the variance when playing. Your bankroll needed to effectively to play in high enough stake to live off of is extremely high; it's easily a six digit number, not to mention the amount of skill and experience needed as well.
Yet, it's the variance that I feel warrants poker as a career. The chance of winning millions is what, personally keeps me playing. I'm sure with enough time and effort poker becomes more than just a lottery ticket and more of a career. But I struggle to find myself in a situation where I can expend enough time, effort, and funds into the game to make that happen.

I think we can make enough money for our life by playing poker, but we have to be serious in poker, training hard, having consistency and good strategy. I feel I play motstly based on my emotion so I still play poker for fun. Hope some day I can play better.

There is a way to do it, but it takes caution and planning. People who do this understand risk and how to keep from busting. They play a mixture of ways to make sure that they can handle downswings. There are too many chances for bad to happen, but a person can avoid it by understanding what they are doing.

No Unfortunately. But I strive for this and I think many people want it.
The only difficulty I have is slots in the casino, I keep trying to see the 3-digit amount, but unfortunately I only lose, everything that I won in a week.

It is possible as long as it is consciously and without the dazzle of the values of the possible prizes and always focusing on bankroll management so as not to break inconsequentially and studying hard to improve the chances of winning

Of course, if you can, it is not impossible but only a few manage to live 100% from poker but it requires a lot of mental strength, studies, practice and, most importantly, patience and a lot of self control to know how to cope with the game with discipline and thus maintain your bankroll.

With daily effort it is possible to obtain profits, a lot of time of dedication, concentration, etc. The problem is that not everyone does it and that is why it is believed that it cannot be profited:jd4::jd4::jd4::jd4:

Currently, I am working hard to create a bankroll. I think it takes at least 5-7 years of hard work to become a professional. So, all I can do now is work disciplinedly every day.

An excellent profession

Good afternoon everyone, I consider poker to be a career, and to be among the players who are profitable it is very important to study and practice poker a lot.
I usually see how the players who are profitable and show their games on Twitch, do in each move, the secret of being profitable is to study and volumize a lot, to play many Mtts per month.

When I started to play poker I was not in college, so, I used to think that poker player would be a great career. Now that I’m graduated, I think poker as a hobby with a possibility to win an extra income every month. I know it’s very difficult to win with poker more than I win with my real job, but my goal is to win every month a decent amount of money.

Constant poker education, hand analysis, use of bankroll mamagment, iron mindset, good physical condition, a lot of free time - these are the necessary basics on the way to earning only from poker. I don't have an iron mindset, that's why I play recreationally.

Good luck at the tables ;-)

I got a chance to live off it...

But not by playing...
Made more by promoting it... ;)

Never thought of going pro, because i will never
have the bankroll that would be required....

Can't back a 50.000 Dollar downswing...

I don't see any real chance to become pro in poker, just because I already have high paying job(for my current country and current situation in world), and for now I already need to be as minimum professional player to get same money in long-term expectations. For me - poker is one more interesting hobby, where I want to be successful, or, as minimum, try to become better than previous month and get fun.
In professional and financial perspective it's much more profitable to continue develop my already existing skills, and, probably, if I get really money-hungry, I will relocate to USA or canada, and it will give me much more chances to play high stacks, than trying to become professional in current job and poker same time.
