You can't blame Bob for pressing, and playing the 52 at that point because it seemed he didn't win a hand all week. By the way, who was the winner of the two weeks?

Yes you can. He played so horribly the whole time. Like ridiculously horribly. Playing even more horribly isn't the solution. And Dwan and Hellmuth were the only players that finished up.

Daniel annoys me more for his ego then anything else. He comes off, to me, as someone who knows hes good and wants everyone else to notice it.

Oh and his impressions..he couldve done without dressing like Scotty at the HU Championship. His impressions of Ming and many others are pretty bad and racist. A friend of mine, whos asian and never watched poker before, seen the HSP Episode where Daniel was "sounding" like Ming. He was upset over it and said, "It doesnt matter If the guy is cool with it, he must've done it before and then the guy heard him and became cool with it. He just didnt tell him, "hey make fun of me". Does this guy do that all the time?" I explained it to him and he just shrugged his shoulders.

They are all the best of friends, so its not insulting to each other..... its all in fun. Daniel should have dressed like Scotty, then got drunk and been an ass!

I saw Laak on 'the poker den: big game 3' and he did talk alot of crap...but its was funny at some points and he did make a few really great plays. Young Andy Feldman is one of my favourites along side devil fish and hellmouth. i know they are big names but they have an amazing ability of calling other players cards. Fish being the best. And i love watching helmouth because every one wants to beat him and it feels like its him against the other 5 or 8 at the table and im a fan of the underdog. I know he's never the underdog but they all want him out lol

I used to think Laak was just a crazy moron. Then I actually watched him play. He shows to be extremely intelligent (doesn't he have like an engineering degree?) when talking about non-poker stuff and he is a pretty solid poker player from what I've seen. He just has a weird sense of humor and enjoys hearing himself talk a bit too much imo. Still overall I think he's a plus in any televised game in terms of poker entertainment factor.

watching the first week of the Hellmuth Bash I really thought Bob Safai was a *****!! He kept taking shots at Tom Dwan and mouthing him. After Tom won a couple big pots from him, including the huge bluff, Bob kind of kept quiet. I love how Tom isolates Bob in almost every hand now lol

Laak does talk alot but I think he's a really good player. He is obsessed with side bets though lol
:dito: Agree completely. Safai was an absolute ***** plus an overall poor sport. I have no respect for him at all. I even find myself watching him and rooting that he gets a bad beat and loses his stacks whenever he plays. He certainly has a "hoighty-toighty" attitude and can't stand to beat outplayed by Dwan or any other younger player, he deserves to lose imo.

I like Laak quite a bit, he played special tourneys at my casino twice, very personable, bought rounds of drinks and such, played low limit and higher stakes cash till close, was great. Very entertaining, he did talk a lot, but he paid to be there.

I love Laak, he's my favorite player. Safai was way further out of line than Laak on several occasions.

His 50k raise with AA preflop on HSP last night was excellent imo.... He was terrible last night. He is just terrified of Dwan

that is just laak, he's not trying it so it's his character. He has a column or set of articles about his ramblings and mumblings in BLUFF magazine too. He just has a crazy mind set, constantly thinking and picking anything and everything apart

I agree completely. I'd have more of a problem if it was an all an act, but with Laak you can tell "that is just the guy he is." So I won't knock on a guy for being himself. Also another point, has Laak ever not been all class at the poker table? Even if someone feels he is out of line he is the first to apologize, and when I've seen the guy knocked out of a tournament he wishes everyone at the table good luck and is very gracious in defeat.

I like Laak so I don't really see the problem the OP is trying to create?
