each one has its pros and cons.. I prefer live because i feel like the same people worrying about losing $20 online will blow a $200 buyin live in a heartbeat.. Live casinos draw the same skill level players to a $1/$2 game as a .01/.02 game online.. There are so many opportunities to make money based off reading people that I could never ever get online.. but it also takes more time and more money to play live..

I do like playing online though because its more of a math/betting patterns game.. If you can play profitably than its just a matter of how much volume you can put it.. the only problem i find with online is staying focused.. i can play 12hrs+ at a casino and stay focused the whole time.. put me on my computer at home and im lucky if i can stay distraction free for 20 minutes.. its just too easy to turn on the tv or surf the internet or run to the kitchen for food lol

I enjoy live play immensely more than online for a few reasons.

1. There are no casinos with card tables very close to me, so I get to play live almost exclusively at home games. I only play a few times a month, so when I get to play live, I get excited.

2. The banter of these live home games is really fun. I love joking around with friends and acquaintances, meeting new people who love the game as much as I do, talking about news and events or online experiences, and seeing the table's reactions when an intense hand goes down.

3. Online really is a grind so much of the time. Live is almost always easy going, and I also play much higher stakes, get to feel the cards, clink the chips, practice shuffling chips, and look people in the eyes.

All the guys that enjoy online better are crazy!!!!!!

Playing online game is a typical long-distance, it is known that the real game is longer. Professionals usually prefer online, although there are some players on the type of real (Negreanu - I love :D)

depends

online is nice for a few reasons -- super convenient, ability to play multiple tables at once, no distractions.

the downside of online poker that I find is that the random number generator sometimes seems less than random -- like if your a shorter stack in a tournament you can pretty much assume that you'll lose even with a dominant hand -- like it just wants to boot you out and get the damn thing over with... It also seems like there are more bad beats in general -- this could be for several reasons, including more hands per hour, and the fact that people will make stupider plays when they aren't face to face with their competition (and can simply mute the other player).

Live poker is awesome. Nothing like physical cards and physical chips. I also like being able to see and be seen by my opponents. You also don't have to count on the legitimacy of any technology -- its just you, your opponents and a deck of cards.

I like both, but I definitely prefer live poker.

online poker for sure. I get way to bored playing in real life... Plus they require more than boxers to play :)
