I'm going to be doing something similar as well OP. Going to start with $0 and see how far I can take it playing exclusively freerolls until I can get a big enough BR to start grinding cash. Let's hopefully both make some money in 2013!

My NYR is play less poker!
I'm late on my college, so, I need to focus on that first and maybe 1 or 2 times per week I play poker.

Couple of things...play in a couple of live tournaments. There are a couple of casinos about 30 minutes from my house with regular tournaments, so there is really no excuse.

Second, remember to watch out for trips!

Good Luck to all of you on your NYR. In 2013, I want to do a better job of reading my opponents and then making note of it. I am not good at being sure I note what I have picked up on for the next time I am at a table with them. Something so simple has cost me more than a few times and I need to improve on that.

I am going to read a new poker book every month. I found on out you could torrent 92 poker books for free, so I am going to read AT LEAST 1 a month to always refine my game.

sup blackstack waiting for the right oportunity and not risking too much EXE. you might can take advantage of someones bad play and see a cheap flop and nail it, while someone hiding their strentgh or misbetting their cards caught too... you win a nice pot and keep playing then 5 hands later to someone pushes preflop and your sittin on kk and you lose. thats poker as they say! im sure everyone will tell you to call there but theres a lot more to poker then just the numbers....check out david slankys book. anyways im not gonna babbleany more . my new years resolution will be to learn patience when im playing so when i do do (LOL)everything right a can still scratch my head and try to figure out how that guy called my 4bet with 36 suited to hit the flush:argh: good luck man

Patience is one skill I need to get better a, It leads to me to boredom and that makes me play less than average cards, Which in turn makes me call your raise with 3 6 suited to leave you short stacked, Only to get KK and lossing my all in push to another donk

Maybe you are playing to tight or very passive, Try to mix it up depending on how they act, If you know they are chasers make it expensive for them to chase depending on outs that you think they might have
