Last night at our home game two players decided to run them twice after the flop. Player A won the first round, however the board staighted for a tie on the second round. What was the appropriate course of action after that? Chopped pot? Run them a third time? Player A wins whole pot?

Any help is appreciated, thanx.

why did they agree to run it twice when they didnt know the rules for it is the first question.

Also it is taken as 2 seperate boards, each with the same flop but different turn and river. Therfore treat it like 2 sperate hands. Whoever wins the first hand wins half the pot, as the second when was tied, they split the 2nd half of hte pot

player A wins 3/4 the pot, player B wins 1/4

It's as if you're playing two pots that are exactly half the size of the actual pot. One player won the first, and they split the second 50/50.

This is the correct response. :)

my advice is DON'T allow it. It defeats the essence of the game. If 2 football
think they have a chance at the end of the 3rd quarter should they play the 4th quarter twice. The whole concept is bogus.

One difference, it's against the rule in football, depending on house rules it's legal in poker. I don't like it because I figure I play enough that the math will even out in the long run anyway, I don't need help evening it out for a single hand.

Running it twice is stupid in a casino game, but in a friendly game where you're just there to have some fun (and possibly make some extra money) then I see no problem with it.
