Tilt is a good series, very entertaining. Rounders is obviously a classic poker movie as well. But these are both for entertainment purposes only, you wont learn anything about poker, at least nothing meaningful to apply towards the tables.

There are all kinds of online training videos, just check youtube or google. These will actually teach you something.

Disagreed. I learned a few very important lessons that I have incorporated into my game. I no longer listen to Oreo's, and I always fold when I see someone else listening to Oreo's. I think that's super practical.

I never watched a movie about poker. Even on YouTube. It is good that this subject appeared. I love movies about the sport. And poker films of look even more so.

Puff got a lot of films of poker, put on the google search engine and you'll come. but you need to read and enter poker schools, that's where you got the basic and advanced concepts to be a good poker player. I assure you not going to win but if you're going to learn to play well. luck

Movies about poker are good but for entertainment, because if you want to learn strategies or saver on the probability tables and study there as here in the forum there are very good articles.

Favorite movie: Rounders.

You can go on youtube nd check the videos there. There is always some special commentary so you can learn a bunch. Its helpful.

The only movie I watched that was about poker is called "Shade". It had Jamie Foxx and Sylvester Stallone in it. It wasn't the greatest movie but it was pretty decent.

California Split was a movie about gambling, but it had a big stakes Las Vegas stud game as part. Amarillo Slim had a small part where he showed his walking around money LOL

There is not so many movies obout poker. But poker appears in many different films in episodes.

Can't believe no one mentioned "Rounders". Pretty much one of the most famous poker films. Stars Matt Damon. But most poker films are merely entertainment. If you want to learn and see how people play. You can go on Youtube and google "Poker on Air". It has semi amateurs playing 1-2 poker. Then you can see the different personalities and play at the beginner to intermediate levels.

Lucky You 2007 is, at least in my opinion, one of the best poker movies out there. After wathcing the movie it kind of interesting to compare it to these days, then you would play at real tables while now most people stick just to online poker which wasnt so much available not such a long time ago. It is nice to think about the progress poker has made recently.
